American Pride Poem

FlagStand Together

Everywhere you look, it seems,
Flags are flying around.
A sad thing happened in our country you see,
Which is why we hang them down.
“Half-staff” is what it’s called
When they’re half way down the pole.
To show respect, love, and honor
Of America is the goal.
Even on the cars
And the signs up on the stores,
You’ll see no badness is too big for us-
Americans are proud down to their core.
“God Bless America” we read
“Together we will stand.”
Because to be an American,
Is to be the best person you possibly can.
So look around and be proud
Of the glorious red, white, and blue.
Stand together as brothers and sisters,
And to your country always be true.
No matter what you look like-
Brown, black, white, yellow, or red.
When we stand together strongly,
There can only be goodness ahead.
So stand tall and be proud;
Shout as loudly as you can:
“I’m the luckiest person on the Earth,
“I’M AN AMERICAN!!”
